Julia Poole Surrey, BC Julia Poole currently works as an Educational Consultant implementing technology into the classroom and as a Fac. Assoc. for Trinity Western University. She is also a trainer for Nelson Publishing for netTrekker, an online learning resource for teachers and students. She has worked in Surrey as the Sec. Coordinator for Information Media Literacy and an Applied Skills Helping Teacher. Her main role is to oversee the implementation of technology in classrooms and to work with classroom teachers to develop their knowledge and skills using technology. Julia is also a mentor in the "Learning and Teaching with Technology" Program (the former TLITE diploma program) at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC. She is an Exec. member for CUE BC and former Horizons/Computer Using Educators of BC Conference Chair and the Annual Surrey Teachers' Association Convention Chair (7 yr.) Julia will bring to this workshop her expertise of cross-curricular ideas and the use of technology to help teachers explore innovative project-based learning in the classroom. poole_j@sd36.bc.ca |
