We Blog

If social media tools, like blogs, are popular with our students outside the classroom, why not use them to help motivate and engage students in the classroom? This workshop will introduce the basics of blogging, including how to create and manage student blogs as well as how to meet learning outcomes by allowing students to manage their own blogs. This session will also take a quick look at the results of our action research study that used blogging to enhance student writing in grade 8. This workshop will provide unit and lesson outlines, handouts and rubrics (based on BC performance standards for writing).
