Administrator 2.0

School Principals are increasingly expected to be leaders and modelers in using technology. These critical leaders in our schools need help in sorting through the many tools and services available to support their work as administrators and as educators. There are significant challenges for principals in reinventing themselves as digitally literate leaders. Lack of time to research, collaborate, experiment… fear of what might happen if they try a new tool… what is the "best" tool or service to use… to name a few. I had the privilege of facilitating a group of about 8 principals (elementary and middle) this past year and helped guide their digital journey. During this session I will share highlights from their journey, what they learned, talk about tools they found effective, and not so much, show some examples from their open and honest 5-minute writes, and talk about their differentiated success, how this journey changed them, and their intentions for next year.
