2020? Future Teaching with Technology

On the verge of 2010, this decade has seen unprecedented changes in technology and education. The next decade will continue to bring rapid changes and challenges. The key emphasis is integrating technology into daily practice within school culture to help prepare students become competitive in our digital age. Current research shows student brains are changing due to students spending an average of 6 hours of screen time/day. The vital solution to reach these digital learners is to replace obsolete analog teaching methodology with an upgrade to 2.0 teaching through digital literacy emphasis. This workshop is excellent for novice computer using teachers at any grade level. This interactive workshop will introduce 20 top websites that every technology educator should be aware of. The last half an hour is composed of a hands on activity that helps you design a WebQuest (-a classroom online project for students) in less than 20 minutes!
