If you had the power to make changes, what would you do to better support teaching and learning with technology at your school?
This question was the focus of a research project that surveyed elementary schools in the Lower Mainland in 2008. The study examined areas such as the technology environments in schools, the level of educational ICT use by teachers, and access to the internet. The study first developed a snapshot of ICT practices in elementary schools throughout the Lower Mainland. The study then examined how these current practices could be further enhanced. The findings were interesting and at times surprising. This presentation will provide valuable insights for teachers, administrators, and educational decision makers that will aid in their planning.
